When our children were 6 weeks old we took them to the Alps where we went skiing. As we went with the whole family there were enough babysitters available. When they were 6 months old we took them sailing and crossed the Channel between UK and France. They were very easy to handle at that age. Later on they started to move by themselves and that's when things became a bit more complicated. However we prepared the boat and car in such a way that they are safe and feel well. They are used to travelling now and even like it. They can sit in the car for hours without troubles enabling us to travel back to our home country without much trouble.
